Currently updating the website hopefully it will be completed by the end of the month. Having to change our BT donate also as they are no longer taking donations so you will see a new Virgin one too.
Hopefully I can celebrate a new website by donating some funds to someone or a group??
Apologies for the lack of communication recently it has been getting harder running things on my own but hopefully I can get back on the right track now. Any emails people have sent if you could re send as with the change over in website etc a lot of emails have disappeared! Cheers Dave ...
The 2019 season starts tomorrow! The British Wheelchair Racing Championships are free entry at Stoke Mandeville stadium all weekend so bring a chair and come down to watch some top class para athletics! 💪🇬🇧
Tomorrow is the 3rd time the “Keighley Cup” is being played. The game is played between Oswestry School and Oswestry RUFC. This is in memory of my dad who was a teacher for over 30 years at oswestry school and founder member of Oswestry RUFC. A big thank you to Adam Lloyd who yet again has taken time to organise this event which not only means a lot to us as a family but also helps raise funds for the charity of which Nige was a trustee. On 18th Dad would have turned 70 so it’s a great weekend to celebrate and with Wales winning the grand slam too (Dad would be happy England come second)! It’s a 12 kick off then then stay at the club for the 6 nations.Tomorrow the wait is over, another year has passed and it time for the 2019 The Keighley Cup.
Following a week of rain the fixture has been moved from Oswestry School to Granville Park second team pitch.
An annual game of rugby between the Oswestry Rugby Club and Oswestry School. The day is to remember a great man Nige Keighley.
The Oswestry School side will be Captained this year by ex pupil Adam Lloyd . It was a great game last year contested to the final whistle, who will lift the trophy this year ?
The Oswestry Rugby Club XV captained by Nick Clay will be looking to retain the trophy for the third year in a row.
The game kicks off at 12:00 March 16th. Followed by the last 2 remaining 6 Nation matches.
WHAT A FEAST OF RUGBY.
We are hoping to raise funds for The 53 Foundation.
Please do make every effort to attend an informal afternoon of rugby. Nige would have had it no other way.
Feel free to bring a raffle prizes or two and any rugby memorabilia for the auction would be very appreciated.
So lets all get behind this event by coming down to Granville Park this Saturday, watch some great rugby and support The 53 Foundation. ...
Very good article by @HCDream2012 how in 2019 is their such a divide between able bodied and para athletes is a joke. For one of the most successful athletes ever to not have kit sponsor is a total joke
Amongst great company on this series of #DuvetDays. It’s always difficult speaking on a subject you feel you have little experience with but a positive spin is always best 🧠 #mentalhealth https://t.co/4l0i21Ggyu
